Storm Safety Talk

Book a Storm Safety Talk

I've been actively spotting storms in Kansas since 1998, first for KFDI, then since 2004 as a mobile spotter for KWCH-TV. My experience includes some of the most significant tornado events in recent history: Greensburg 2007, Moore 2013, El Reno 2013, and Andover 2022.

I bring that field experience directly to your group. Whether you're a classroom teacher, civic organization leader, or emergency manager, I'll tailor the presentation to your audience with practical information they can actually use.

What I Cover

  • Tornado safety and shelter options
  • The difference between watches and warnings (and why it matters)
  • Building a family emergency plan that works
  • Storm spotting basics
  • Kansas weather patterns and what makes our region unique
  • Mobile home and outdoor safety

When I'm Available

I present year-round, with the most availability during spring severe weather season (March through June). I work with groups of any size, from a single classroom to large community events.

What You Get

  • 45-60 minute presentation (I can adjust to fit your schedule)
  • Q&A session
  • Handout materials for your group
